Souvenir money increasingly used for payments in Belarus

In Belarus, there has been an increase in cases where people attempt to pay for purchases with souvenir money.

These banknotes resemble real rubles but have different inscriptions, such as "дзесяць цублёў" instead of "дзесяць рублёў." They may also feature markings like "Souvenir money" or "Not a payment document."

The police advise carefully checking banknotes when making transactions, especially if accepting payment in a hurry.
