SpaceX Unveils $100B Plan to Build Starbase Louisiana Spaceport

SpaceX has unveiled plans to build a massive spaceport, Starbase Louisiana, at a cost of $100 billion. The new facility is designed to support thousands of Starship launches per year. The complex will include at least 10 launch and landing pads, Starship production and rocket fuel component manufacturing, power generation, an airport, and a seaport. Construction is set to begin in 2027, with the first Starship launch from Louisiana planned for 2029.
