Switzerland reports rise in fraud cases from Ukrainian call centers
Switzerland has seen a rise in fraud cases linked to Ukrainian call centers, reports Neue Zürcher Zeitung. Reported damages amount to nearly 4 million francs through one platform alone. Authorities in the canton of Bern are investigating a case in which one suspect is believed to manage several such centers in Kyiv, coordinating digital crime operations. Ukrainians suspected of collecting illicit funds from fraud victims have recently been detained in several Swiss regions. Experts estimate that around 60,000 Ukrainians may be working in such call centers. Victims have been reported in at least 29 countries.
