Trump rejected a seven-day ceasefire with Iran, as he intends to resume military actions against it after the midterm elections in November, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing sources.

According to the publication, the U.S. president received a proposal from Iranian representatives for mutual de-escalation in exchange for opening the Strait of Hormuz.
