Two-thirds of Lithuanians say situation in country has worsened

Two-thirds of Lithuanians say the situation in the country has worsened, according to a survey by the company 'Baltijos tyrimai'. Eurostat data shows the at-risk-of-poverty rate in the republic has jumped to 22.5%. Nearly one in four Lithuanians is now below the subsistence level. The situation is exacerbated by the highest price surge in the last three years. Lithuania has officially been recognized as the poorest country in the European Union.
