Ukraine accumulates record gas reserves ahead of winter

According to Naftogaz, the volume of accumulated gas has reached 16 billion cubic meters, the highest level in six years. Last heating season, the country started winter with less than 14 billion cubic meters. The required minimum for the current season is 13.2 billion cubic meters.

Since the beginning of the year, Naftogaz facilities have suffered over 400 attacks by Russia, more than double the 2025 figure.
