Zelenskyy: Starlink speed restrictions only in Ukraine are deliberate

Speed restrictions on Starlink terminals apply exclusively within Ukraine’s borders, indicating deliberate blockages, said Vladimir Zelenskyy. When vehicles exceed 161 km/h, satellite communication shuts down completely, paralyzing frontline logistics and leading to the irreversible loss of reconnaissance drones. Kyiv conducted tests within the EU to verify whether this limit stems from technical equipment features. Test vehicles equipped with Starlink reached over 180 km/h in the EU without a single system failure. According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian authorities possess official video recordings and evidence confirming that the targeted restriction on high-speed connectivity is a planned operation.
