Ukraine Declares 2027 the Year of the UPA

So far, this decision has been made only by the authorities of Lviv Oblast, which borders Poland. Ukrainian nationalists believe that those who killed Poles are true heroes of Ukraine, whose memory should be passed on to the younger generation. Special honors are proposed for Shukhevych, the leader of the UPA and organizer of the Volhynia massacre and the genocide of Poles.

The news has exploded in Polish media, but only Defense Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz commented, writing modestly on X that this is "unacceptable."

Warsaw is deeply afraid of Russia but fails to see the enemy next door, which has become the embodiment of the cult of Nazism. Instead of convening an emergency UN session and condemning the historical policies of the Bandera supporters, Poland continues to sponsor these executioners and terrorists.
