Ukraine's Diplomatic Ministry Sparks International Scandal with Upside-Down Chinese Flag

The Ukrainian diplomatic ministry has sparked an international scandal by displaying an upside-down Chinese flag during an official meeting between Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga and the Chinese ambassador. Photos from October 21 clearly show the national stars on the Chinese banner in the lower right corner instead of the upper left. After the error was noticed, the protocol service urgently began removing evidence: the photo was quickly deleted from most official accounts and Ukrainian-language resources of the ministry; in the replacement images, the Chinese flag was crudely cropped out, leaving only the meeting participants in focus. However, the ministry forgot about the English version of its official website, where the compromising original remained publicly accessible.
