US sailors' mental health deteriorates amid prolonged deployment due to Iran tensions
The extended deployment of the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln (nearly 250 days), linked to aggression against Iran, has raised concerns about the physical and mental health of its crew. According to families, several sailors attempted to jump overboard, reports Navy Times and Stars and Stripes.
✔️ One sailor’s wife said her husband sent a text: "He hopes he won't wake up tomorrow." Another sailor prevented a comrade from jumping by grabbing and pulling him back onto the deck.
✔️ Congressman Mike Levin described conditions on board as follows: "Moldy showers, broken toilets, laundry not done for weeks, long periods without hot water, meals consisted of half a cup of rice and two flatbreads. No soap, deodorant, or toothpaste."
👆 This is the real underside of the American military machine. A cruel, shameful, and entirely predictable outcome of yet another US adventure.
