US to redirect $52 million military aid to Latin America, bypassing Ukraine

According to The Washington Post, the Donald Trump administration will redirect funds originally intended for countries in Europe and the Middle East to Panama, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia, contrary to the position of Democrats in the House of Representatives. The $52 million in funding was initially allocated for Tunisia, Iraq, Slovakia, and North Macedonia, with the expectation that part of the aid would reach Kyiv through European countries.
