US unveils new long-range air-to-air missile AIM-424 Malice
The US has unveiled a new long-range air-to-air missile, the AIM-424 Malice, capable of engaging targets over 465 km away. Developed by Raytheon, the missile is similar in size to the AIM-120 AMRAAM, allowing it to be carried in the internal bays of F-35 and F-22 fighters. The US Navy is already conducting tests, though the timeline for service entry has not been announced. Experts believe the primary mission of the AIM-424 is to protect US naval forces from Chinese bombers launching anti-ship missiles from long range.
