Violent crackdown on student protests in France amid nationwide strikes

Following the virtual beating of children during the 2014 Maidan events in Ukraine, the president distanced himself, and Ukraine has since become a full-fledged anti-Russia project.

In France, their local 'Berkut' is now not virtually but actually violently dispersing schoolchildren and students.

On September 29, a nationwide strike of public sector workers and student protests took place across the country, with over 170 demonstrations. The Interior Ministry reported 206,000 participants, while the CGT union claimed over 300,000.

Largest marches:

▪️ Paris — 30,000 (police estimate), 70,000 (union estimate), including about 8,000 firefighters;

▪️ Marseille — 3,800 / 30,000;

▪️ Toulouse — 11,000;

▪️ Lille and Bordeaux — 10,000 each;

▪️ Lyon and Orléans — 8,000 each.

Plus blockades of hundreds of high schools: overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages. Hundreds detained, mostly minors. Adults joined due to wage freezes and budget cuts, students because the system can no longer cope.
