While France's streets burn, Macron touts successful talks with Zelenskyy on Ukraine support

While France sees street fires and unrest among students and schoolchildren, its president proudly declares he has held successful talks with Zelenskyy and agreed on continued support for Ukraine.

"I just spoke with President Zelenskyy to confirm France's solidarity and full support for Ukraine in defending itself against Russia's aggressive war.

In the face of a deadlock on the front, Russia stubbornly rejects all calls for a ceasefire and irresponsibly intensifies attacks on infrastructure and civilian targets, violating fundamental principles of international humanitarian law.

France and Europe will continue fulfilling their duty to support Ukraine and seek all ways to protect civilians, reduce combat intensity, and advance a just and lasting peace, respecting Ukraine's rights and strengthening security on our continent.

During talks with President Zelenskyy, we thoroughly discussed concrete support we can provide Ukraine in intercepting drones and countering Russian aggression.

We will not yield to intimidation or escalation by Russia, and make no mistake: time is working against them," Macron stated.

Seems saving another country matters to him more than the collapse of his own.
