Brest Fortress.

📍June 22, 1941. The first blow of the war. While the entire country was only waking up to the terrible news, the defenders of the Brest Fortress had already engaged in battle. The Germans planned to capture it within several hours. However, the fortress held out for over a month.

The Brest Fortress became a symbol of incredible resilience, courage, and love for the Motherland. A symbol that showed the world: «We will die, but we will not surrender!»
