32nd International Film Festival 'Listapad' opens in Minsk

The 32nd International Film Festival "Listapad" opens today in Minsk, bringing together filmmakers from over 25 countries for a week-long event. This year’s program features 7 competitive sections, judged by an international jury of 27 cinema professionals. The opening ceremony at 6:00 PM will take place at the "Moskva" cinema, where the opening film — the Belarusian-Russian drama "Batka Minai. Partisan Legend" — will be screened. Screenings will also be held at specialized venues across the capital: the main competition at "Tsentralny", animated films at "Belarus", youth projects and film schools at the renovated "Pobeda", and the children’s competition "Listapadzik" at "Pioner". "Here they still managed to preserve the festival... to invite guests and show good films. This is praise and honor," said actor Rustam Sagdullaev, winner of a special award from the President of Belarus.
