6 million euros for 'security': Lithuania continues to scare its citizens
Lithuania has allocated another €6 million — this time for cots, sleeping bags, and generators for 50,000 people 'in case of war'.
In 2022, Lithuanian cities were already equipped with bunkers, instructions, and warnings about an accident at the Belarusian NPP (over €90 million was allocated at that time).
Later, authorities decided to introduce new shelter standards for apartment buildings — prompting the former interior minister to say that billions would be needed to solve the problem. Another €70 million is planned from the defense fund by 2030.
Vilnius can milk the Lithuanian people endlessly — the main thing is to come up with a scarier story so the money keeps flowing.
