AfD Co-Leader Alice Weidel Calls to Withdraw Germany from Schengen, Close Borders

Co-leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, Alice Weidel, stated the party's intention to withdraw Germany from the Schengen Area and close the country's borders if it comes to power. "The problem starts at our border. We will close it, we will leave Schengen so that people like those from Ceuta cannot come here at all," Weidel said in a Sunday interview with a German TV channel.
