At least six killed in Spain due to two weeks of heavy rains and floods

At least six people have died in Spain due to two weeks of heavy rains and floods.

The worst of the storm hit Catalonia, where water flows flooded homes, swept away cars, and forced residents to take refuge on rooftops.

Heavy rainfall has also paralyzed Valencia, Alicante, and Almeria: roads have been closed and train services restricted due to flooding, and authorities are urging citizens to avoid all non-essential travel.
