Austria declares four Russian diplomats persona non grata — Profil

Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger has ordered the expulsion of four Russian diplomats from the country.

Three of them were on a list of 21 individuals previously investigated by Austrian authorities for possible ties to Russian intelligence agencies. The fourth was accredited to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

The decision came after Austrian military officials received warnings about possible contacts between staff and alleged Kremlin agents.
