Belarus President Receives Report on Agricultural Progress in Mogilev Region

The President of the Republic of Belarus listened to a report from his Assistant – Inspector for the Mogilev Region, Nadezhda Kotkovec. The President was briefed on the implementation of instructions issued following his working trip to Shklov District on September 18.

The first topic concerned improving technological and organizational management in major agricultural enterprises, strengthening discipline, and eliminating existing shortcomings. The Head of the Presidential Administration and the Assistant for the Mogilev Region were instructed to thoroughly review the organization of work at the local level. The issue, exemplified by regional farms such as 'Govyady-agro' and 'Aleksandriyskoe', was noted as relevant nationwide.

Discussions also covered staffing, cost optimization at all stages, and monitoring local performance outcomes. Workers from industrial enterprises in Mogilev have been engaged to assist in addressing the tasks set by the Head of State.

Updates were provided on the ongoing harvest of agricultural crops and autumn fieldwork in the Mogilev Region. Currently, all grain, legume, and rapeseed crops have been fully harvested. Winter rapeseed has been sown beyond the planned area, with Nadezhda Kotkovec highlighting its economic efficiency. Winter grain crops have been sown on 46% of planned areas. The President was informed that farmers in the region are fully supplied, including with mineral fertilizers, to complete sowing within optimal agronomic deadlines.

Another topic addressed the President’s instructions on potato farming: expanding sales markets and increasing production volumes. Nadezhda Kotkovec assured that proven production and storage technologies, as well as high-quality domestic potato varieties, are available. The main focus now is identifying additional sales markets, which will receive close attention in the near future.
