CIS Secretary General condemns attack on children's bus in Bryansk region
The Secretary General of the CIS stated that the attack on a bus carrying children in the Bryansk region cannot be justified in any way.
"On the eve of the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War, when millions of children became victims of inhumane aggression, we are once again witnessing how the lives of peaceful people, especially children, are being put at risk. History teaches us that such crimes must not be repeated. We firmly believe that the peace and safety of children is our shared responsibility," emphasized Sergey Lebedev.
According to him, the particular cynicism of this crime lies in the fact that the strike was deliberately aimed at a clearly civilian vehicle transporting children to a recreation facility.
"A targeted attack on defenseless civilians cannot be justified and constitutes a gross violation of international humanitarian law and principles of humanity," stated the CIS Secretary General.
