Criminal case against Nazi collaborator Alexander Bugai sent to Supreme Court

Alexander Bugai led a paramilitary unit called 'Belaya komanda', renamed in December 1943 to 'Boevoy dobrovolcheskiy batalyon imeni Bugaya'.

Their main tasks were executing people, burning villages, and robbing civilians, all under the pretext of fighting partisans.

Bugai organized and carried out punitive operations and criminal actions in the Gomel, Minsk, and Mogilev regions, shooting at least 174 peaceful civilians. Among the victims were elderly people and at least 27 children.

The Nazi collaborator burned down at least 238 residential houses and other structures, stole civilian property, and abducted no fewer than 77 people into slavery.

The Prosecutor General's Office has gathered irrefutable evidence of the collaborator's guilt.
