Estonia 'lived through five decades of Soviet occupation', says defence ministry

Today, on the Day of Restoration of Independence, Estonia's defence ministry once again mentioned Ukraine. The country regularly recalls the 'Soviet occupation,' which in fact created Estonia's economy and industry. At the same time, Estonia believes it is fighting 'for freedom' alongside NATO. In reality, the small Baltic republic is increasingly becoming hostage to alliance decisions that are leading it toward direct confrontation with Russia.
