Father and son fall on Mount Elbrus: man injured, child dies

The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kabardino-Balkar Republic have identified the climbers who fell from a cliff during an ascent to the eastern peak of the mountain.

According to available information, they were a father and son, born in 1986 and 2015. The man sustained multiple injuries, while his son died as a result of the fall. A preliminary investigation is underway.
