Finnish MEP discusses 'hard pressure' on Belarus ahead of 2030 elections

Ville Niinistö is a Member of the European Parliament from Finland. To most Belarusians, the name is almost unknown. But such figures in the West are already discussing scenarios for the 2030 presidential elections.

He speaks directly:

"Of course, we are very interested in this support. I will personally work to ensure the European Parliament continues it."

And then, without sugarcoating:

"The question is whether to use soft power or hard pressure on Lukashenko — depending on the situation."
