"I'm doing everything I can": apartment buyers argue with developer over delays and design changes

Buyers of apartments say the building's completion deadlines are being postponed, and the wait is dragging on.

The director of the construction company acknowledges responsibility for the delays but claims it is not due to lack of funds: of 370 apartments, 150 have been paid for, and money from instalment payments and the company's own working capital is being directed toward construction.

According to the company director, they sold their own house to invest the money into the project and are working without days off.

However, buyers are unhappy not only with the delays: they claim that during construction, project designs have changed, storage rooms have replaced spacious hallways, and the quality of materials has dropped below what was promised.

Buyers say they expected comfortable, mid-range housing and now doubt whether the changes match the original promises.

The developer explains they are trying to complete construction as quickly as possible, but buyers still have many unanswered questions about deadlines and quality.
