Khodzhaev: Belarus sends specialists to help victims in Bryansk region

‘At the moment, according to operational data, eight people, including six minors, have sustained injuries of varying severity. They are located in several hospitals in the Bryansk region.

Contact has been established between the Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation and the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Belarus. All necessary steps are being taken to provide prompt assistance,’ noted Alexander Khodzhaev.

According to him, contact has also been established between the Ministry of Healthcare of Belarus and the Department of Healthcare of the Bryansk region to ensure that information on the health status of the victims reaches the Belarusian side as quickly as possible.

‘We have sent three resuscitation teams, supplemented with various specialists totaling 11 people, to Bryansk. On site, together with specialists from the Russian Federation, they will assess the condition of our citizens and decide on the possibility of transporting them to the Republic of Belarus or providing necessary assistance locally.

Also, at present, specialists of republican level from Minsk have been dispatched to Bryansk—anaesthesiologists-reanimatologists, pediatric surgeons, and specialists from the Republican Center for Firearm Trauma,’ added Alexander Khodzhaev.

The group is led by First Deputy Minister Elena Bogdan. Additionally, a medical team has been sent from Moscow to assist the victims.

‘In case a decision is made to transport our citizens, a helicopter from the medical service is ready to carry out the mission,’ said the minister.
