🤦‍♂️In Latvia, police officers tried to cover up a colleague’s drunken traffic accident. Now all are facing trial.

Three officials from the Zemgale regional police department were detained on suspicion of negligence and official forgery as part of a group acting in collusion.

It was revealed that the officers covered for their drunk colleague who caused the accident. To save him from punishment, they avoided conducting alcohol tests on the intoxicated driver and did not interview the accident witnesses. Later, they falsified documents, claiming the accident was caused by an 'unknown driver who fled the scene.'

Latvian law enforcement officers have taken a criminal path toward 'success'—and it's not the first time.
