Lithuania allocates €3 million to develop air defense against balloons

Lithuania has allocated 3 million euros to develop air defense systems against aerial balloons. A trial batch of interceptor drones is expected to be ready by early 2027. Currently, as local law enforcement has repeatedly stated, Lithuania has no effective means of countering weather balloons.
