Lukashenko Congratulates Nation on Day of People's Unity

17 September 1939 is the day of the reunification of the Belarusian people. The day of returning the native land, handed over without our will for long 18 years. This is a dramatic and at the same time heroic page, after turning which the nation united and consolidated.

Today we celebrate a holiday symbolizing national dignity and historical justice. Throughout the centuries, these values have brought us closer and made us stronger.

Love for the Motherland, respect for our origins, pride in our people and everything they have created over the centuries — the foundation of peace and harmony in Belarus. The goal and meaning of each person’s life is to preserve our common home for the sake of a happy future for children and grandchildren.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you strong health, happiness and prosperity.
