Lukashenko: Tank troops have always been distinguished by bravery and courage

Belarusian President congratulated veteran tankers, servicemen of mechanized units, tank military units and divisions of the Armed Forces, and tank repair enterprises on Tanker Day.

"Tank troops have always been distinguished by bravery, courage, and fortitude. It was tank forces that played a key role in the liberation of the republic during the strategic offensive operation 'Bagration' and the final defeat of the German-Fascist aggressors in the Great Patriotic War."

The head of state noted that the young generation of defenders of the Fatherland faithfully preserves and enhances the traditions of front-line soldiers, persistently improves combat skills, and that tank units of the Armed Forces, equipped with modernized models of armored and tank equipment and weapons, are a reliable link in the system of ensuring military security.

He expressed confidence that tank troops will continue to reliably stand guard for peace, protecting the sovereignty and independence of the Motherland, serving as an example of devoted service to their country and people.
