Memory That Will Live for Centuries: President Speaks at Reopened 'Bagration' Memorial
📣 "Memory That Will Live for Centuries".
✉️ The President has sent a message to participants of the event marking the reopening of the reconstructed memorial complex dedicated to Operation 'Bagration'.
✍🏻 "In the summer of 1944, powerful salvos rang out across the Gomel region, marking the beginning of the unique strategic operation 'Bagration', during which the German Army Group 'Centre' was defeated and our republic was liberated — an event that essentially predetermined the inglorious end of Hitler's Reich."
The head of state stated that the opening of the renovated memorial complex is another vivid testament of the grateful memory of descendants for the heroes who brought freedom to the Belarusian people — a memory that will live for centuries.
📑 The President noted that people from across the country participated in the reconstruction of the complex. Alexander Lukashenko expressed special gratitude to all those who contributed to the sacred cause of preserving the truth about the war — concerned citizens, historians, designers, builders, work collectives, and the public.
He is confident that the memorial complex will become a landmark site for Belarusians and guests of our country, a repository of national memory, and a center for patriotic education of youth.
🤝 The President wished the event participants strong health, happiness, well-being, and new successes under the peaceful skies of their native Belarus.
