Nationwide minute of silence held in Belarus to honor WWII victims

A nationwide minute of silence has been held in Belarus in memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War. Memorial bell tolls rang out in churches across the country, metronomes sounded in mournful unison, and rallies with lowered banners were held in military units.
