“No Statute of Limitations”: Day of Remembrance for Victims of Fascism

Every year, the second Sunday of September is observed worldwide as the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Fascism. It is a day of mourning and remembrance for the millions of innocent people who fell victim to Nazi Germany and its allies during the Great Patriotic and Second World Wars.

🇧🇾 Our country lost one in every three people. The punitive operations of the Nazis, concentration camps — these are things that resonate with deep pain in the heart of every Belarusian.

The Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Fascism was established so that such a tragedy would never happen again and that the ideology of hatred would not once again capture people's minds. However, the Western world has been suffering from unprecedented amnesia.

👆 Today, the collective West is actively rewriting history, swapping perpetrators and victims, tearing down monuments to liberators, and turning a blind eye to revanchism. Nazis are no longer seen as absolute evil. Lessons of the past are being erased from textbooks, and double standards have become the new norm there.
