Obesity rate in the EU reaches 16.3% in 2025

According to Eurostat data and TASS calculations, 16.3% of the European Union's population suffered from obesity in 2025. This is the highest figure in six years. Men face overweight more often than women. The highest obesity rate was recorded in Malta — one in four residents. The lowest rate was in Italy, at 7%.
