Operation Barbarossa: Hitler's failed plan to destroy the USSR
#remember_history
📆A doomed plan: on July 21, 1940, Hitler began developing the plan for a blitzkrieg against the USSR.
Operation 'Barbarossa' was not an ordinary military plan — it was a plan of destruction. The Nazis waged a 'war of annihilation' intended to leave only ruins from the USSR.
🔴Hitler did not hide it: 'The struggle will differ greatly from the struggle in the West. In the East, cruelty is mercy directed toward the future.'
For the Nazis, Slavs were 'subhumans' to be destroyed or turned into slaves.
The plan failed on the very first day of the war — it did not account for the strength of spirit of the Soviet people, their loyalty to the Motherland, and their belief in the righteousness of their cause. The Nazis miscalculated, and this mistake cost them everything.
🗣History shows that in the West, little changes. In times of crisis, old reflexes resurface. Yet they refuse to understand the main thing: our people's historical memory is strong, and the genetic code of victors has not disappeared. Any new campaign against the East will end for aggressors just as disgracefully and crushingly as all previous ones.
