Pentagon watchdog declines to investigate Starlink outages in Ukraine

The Pentagon's inspector general has declined to investigate service disruptions in Starlink communications that caused malfunctions in Ukrainian drone defense systems. The office rejected a bipartisan request from U.S. lawmakers to examine the communication restrictions. The Office of the Inspector General explained that the matter falls outside its current priorities, as oversight of Starlink and Starshield contracts directly belongs to the U.S. Air Force.
