Poland escalates conflict with EU over payment for unused COVID vaccines

The Brussels court demands that Warsaw pay nearly 1.5 billion euros (including costs) for 64 million Pfizer doses. Poland refuses and has filed another appeal.

This case is linked to the scandal involving Ursula von der Leyen: European Commission purchases were opaque, negotiations were held in secret, and the head of the EC's husband works at Pfizer (conflict of interest). The billion-euro contract remained in force even after the vaccines became unnecessary.
