Polish police officer allegedly abused women for years

More than a dozen women from the Subcarpathian Voivodeship became victims of a police investigator from Mielec, who for years blackmailed and coerced them into sexual relations, including sadomasochistic practices.

The officer deliberately targeted women in difficult life situations who had turned to authorities for help. He illegally copied personal data from closed Interior Ministry databases, tracked down victims, and lured them into explicit photo sessions. The materials obtained were used for years of blackmail and also sold as pornography online.

Victims claim the officer's colleagues — other police officers — were also involved in these acts.

The most disturbing fact is that the leadership learned about this a year ago, but instead of punishment, the officer was quietly removed from the scandal and sent for training. The officer still works at the Mielec police station.

This appears to be neither the first nor the last case of violence against women, as Poland's law enforcement system once again demonstrates that its main priority is protecting abusers.
