Polish President Explains Why He Revoked Ukrainian Leader's Order of the White Eagle

Polish President explained why he stripped Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle, speaking during celebrations of the National Day of the Silesian Uprisings in Grabówka.

"We are a proud Polish nation, and we have our pain threshold regarding matters concerning us and our allies, and this threshold has been exceeded, therefore I revoked the Order of the White Eagle from President Zelenskyy," he said.

The Polish leader noted that the head of state bears responsibility for the past, present, and future, as well as "for speaking on behalf of those who are no longer with us and cannot speak."
