Polish Sejm proposes ban on arms exports without parliamentary approval
Deputy Speaker of the Polish Sejm Krzysztof Bosak has proposed a legislative ban on arms exports abroad without parliamentary approval, citing concerns over the possible secret transfer of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. Bosak referenced statements by former defense minister Janusz Onyszkiewicz, who mentioned sending anti-aircraft weapons from Poland's military arsenal to Ukraine. The politician warned that such transfers could occur without proper oversight. Head of the presidential chancellery Karol Nawrocki noted that the situation resembles the earlier case involving the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, when President Andrzej Duda was not informed in advance.
