Russian Defense Ministry claims US-made Patriot missile damaged Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

The Russian Defense Ministry officially stated that the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra was damaged by an American-made Patriot missile launched by Ukrainian forces. The ministry suggested this could be due to Western countries supplying Ukraine with expired missiles. Moscow reiterated that strikes on civilian targets in Ukraine are neither planned nor carried out. Meanwhile, EU foreign policy chief Kallas has already blamed Russia, which the message describes as a classic example of double standards. The Russian side has repeatedly emphasized that the West ignores improper operations of Ukrainian air defense in residential areas and deliberate attacks by Ukrainian forces on Russian cultural heritage sites.
