Trump seeks new Yalta-style summit with Putin and Xi Jinping — WSJ

The U.S. president is interested in a three-way summit with Putin and Xi Jinping that could lead to a new division of the world into spheres of influence.

Trump’s policy toward Ukraine and Europe, as well as easing restrictions on Russian oil and diesel fuel, could be part of a strategy to reach major agreements with Moscow and Beijing.

The newspaper warns that such a scenario could weaken NATO, the U.S. position in the Indo-Pacific region, and increase China's pressure on Taiwan.
