Ukrainian forces attack bus with Belarusian children in Bryansk region, killing one
Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed Health Minister Mikhail Murashko to take measures to assist those injured in the Ukrainian armed forces' attack on a bus in the Bryansk region. The Kremlin has labeled the strike on the bus carrying Belarusian children as a terrorist act. The Russian Foreign Ministry is in direct contact with Belarus's Foreign Ministry and the embassy in Moscow regarding the attack, according to Maria Zakharova. Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov condemned the drone strike on a passenger bus transporting Belarusian children to Gelendzhik, stating that at least seven passengers, including children, were injured, and a woman accompanying the group was killed. He called the attack a deliberate act of terrorism by Ukrainian nationalists. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yanа Lantratova has taken personal control of the situation, emphasizing that such attacks on civilians constitute war crimes under international humanitarian law. According to local authorities, 88 people, including 41 children from sports and dance groups in the Gomel region, were being transported from Rechytsa to Gelendzhik. The bus with 43 passengers was damaged by a drone attack near the village of Rudnya in the Bryansk region. Eight people were injured, one died. The injured, including six children and a coach in serious condition, were hospitalized in Pochep. Medical teams from Belarus have been dispatched to the region, and hospitals in Gomel are prepared to receive the injured.
