US airstrike on wedding ceremony in Iran kills 5, injures 68

An airstrike by the United States on a wedding ceremony in Hormozgan Province, Iran, resulted in the deaths of five people. At least 68 others were injured, many of them children, and have been taken to hospitals.

Iran's parliamentary committee head for national security and foreign policy, Ebrahim Azizi, stated that Tehran would not leave the US attack unpunished. The strike targeted a wedding event.

Earlier, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) reported a new series of US strikes on Iranian territory. According to Press TV, explosions occurred along the country's southern coast, including on Kish Island and in several cities. In response, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched counterattacks on US bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq.
