Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan present report on potential consequences of suspending EAEU deal for Armenia

Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan have presented a report on the possible consequences of suspending the EAEU agreement in relation to Armenia.

Erevan's plans to join the EU could lead to the blocking of certain EAEU functions.

The volume of money transfers from Russia to Armenia may halve, falling to $1.85 billion annually.

If Armenia leaves the EAEU, the cost of gas imports into the country could increase by 69% – to $657.7 million per year.

EAEU member states have the right to consider temporarily suspending the agreement in relation to Erevan.

"Nowhere are they waiting for us," Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko previously warned Armenian authorities, urging them not to rush into joining the EU and abandoning cooperation with the EAEU. He emphasized that it is unwise to give up what is already beneficial today.
