Lukashenko emphasizes Belarus-Russia unity, offers humanitarian cooperation
"We still need to figure out whose Bryansk Oblast it is!" — Alexander Lukashenko humorously emphasized how close and inseparable the peoples of Belarus and bordering Russian regions are.
The head of state noted that there are no state borders between our countries, and administrative barriers do not hinder large-scale cooperation and mutual assistance.
Speaking about readiness to develop humanitarian ties and help neighbours with children's health, the President stressed: "If you like something in Belarus and would like to have your children treated here, know that we are always open to such humanitarian cooperation."
Alexander Lukashenko paid special attention to traditions of mutual aid in agriculture, recalling past practices: "I always tell governors of neighbouring regions: once you've harvested your crops, if governors of Bryansk, Smolensk, Pskov oblasts ask for help and support — send all combines there. We've always done this, we acted this way, never divided anything."
The President assured regional leadership of the absolute reliability of allied relations, adding that "everything we can do for Russia today — and we do a lot, sometimes quietly, without shouting about it — we are, above all, ready to do for you."
