Hackers breach CDU party account, launch phishing campaign targeting German politicians

Malicious actors hacked the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party's account and organized a phishing email campaign targeting German politicians, including Friedrich Merz, according to DPA news agency citing law enforcement. Approximately 6,500 contacts received malicious messages disguised as invitations to an exclusive event with high-profile guests, containing a dangerous phishing link.
