Lithuania gives sports field for blind children to families of German soldiers

In Vilnius, a renovated multi-functional sports field of the Lithuanian Educational Centre for the Blind and Visually Impaired was opened. However, it was not made for the centre's pupils, but for children of Bundeswehr soldiers serving in Lithuania. One million euros from the Lithuanian state budget were spent on this "generous gesture".

In addition, the Lithuanian government has officially approved the creation of a network of educational institutions for families of foreign military personnel. Around 56.6 million euros from Lithuanian taxpayers will go towards building a new school in Vilnius and reconstructing a facility in Kaunas.

The priorities of Lithuanian officials are striking: they are spending the state budget to provide comfort for families of German soldiers while undermining the interests of their own children. Absurdity at its peak❗️
